Allied Universal in Goodyear, AZ is seeking a Security Officer - Access Control Monitor to safeguard clients across industries at a logistics and distribution site. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, support badge access, and document access activity while delivering outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

As a Security Officer - Access Control Monitor in Goodyear, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, support badge access, and monitor activity to help maintain a secure environment. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and use computer or tablet systems to document access-related activity. What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control access to the facility by verifying identification, checking credentials, monitoring entry and exit points, and maintaining visitor and contractor records.
• Monitor vehicle and pedestrian traffic at gates and access points, following site procedures for inbound and outbound shipments, drivers, and authorized personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be able to lift up to 20 lbs preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• A guard card or license preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
