Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking a Security Officer responsible for maintaining a safe and controlled environment for residents, visitors, clients, and staff.

You will monitor premises, enforce policies, respond to incidents, and provide professional service at all times. Duties include patrols, access control, incident reporting, de-escalation, safety inspections, and coordination with management and emergency services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous security or related field experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.

• Ability to write clear and accurate reports.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid SORA license (NJ) or ability to obtain required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security of the premises.
• Control access points and verify identification of residents, visitors, and vendors.
• Prevent unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security risks.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies.
• Write detailed daily activity logs and incident reports.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or unsafe conditions.
• Enforce property rules, regulations, and post orders.
• Provide assistance and directions to residents, guests, and visitors.
• Maintain communication with management, staff, and emergency services when needed.
• Conduct routine inspections of the property and report maintenance or safety issues.
• Ensure all safety procedures and emergency protocols are followed.
• De-escalate conflicts and handle situations in a professional manner.
• Remain alert and attentive at all times while on duty.
