Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking an Armed Security Officer to maintain a safe environment on client premises. You will patrol interior and exterior areas, control access, respond to incidents, and handle a firearm responsibly in accordance with laws and policies.

You will operate surveillance equipment, document events, and coordinate with law enforcement as needed. Louisiana licensing is required; shift work may include nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Louisiana armed security license (LSBPSE) required.
• Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and make quick decisions.
• Strong observation, communication, and physical fitness required.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned premises inside and outside to detect suspicious activity.
• Control access by checking IDs, issuing visitor passes, and verifying authorization.
• Respond to emergencies, alarms, or incidents and take appropriate action.
• Carry and handle a firearm in compliance with laws and policies.
• Monitor security cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
• Document incidents and outcomes in detailed reports.
• Provide professional assistance and maintain an authoritative presence.
• Lead or participate in emergency procedures and evacuations as needed.
• Coordinate with security colleagues, law enforcement, and emergency responders.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, local regulations, and safety procedures.
