Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for Access Control at a logistics and distribution site in Santa Teresa, NM. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor badge access, and maintain a professional presence to deter security-related incidents.

You will provide excellent customer service and clear communication while supporting a secure workplace. The schedule is Mon, Tue, Fri 9:00 PM–5:00 AM, with a pay rate of $14.09 per hour.

Qualifications

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain entry and exit records, and report access-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, unauthorized access attempts, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Complete required reports, maintain accurate logs, and communicate observations and incidents to Allied Universal leadership and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
