As a Security Officer Access Control in Portland, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location. You will manage badge access, monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Use computer or tablet systems to document activity and support access operations while working with a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and committed to integrity.

Pay Rate: $24.02 / Hour

• Wed 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM


• Thur 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM


• Fri 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM


• Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM


• Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.


• Verify identification, credentials, access authorizations, and visitor documentation before allowing entry to designated areas; issue and collect visitor badges in accordance with site procedures.


• Monitor entry and exit points, control vehicle and pedestrian access, maintain visitor and access logs, and report access irregularities or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.


• Respond to incidents, access-control alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.


• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, surrounding business areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.


• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.


• CPR and First Aid are preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
