Qualifications

• Six months of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Guard license or license preferred.
• State/local security license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and surrounding areas.

• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain logs for incidents and patrols.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, residence areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and report unauthorized entry, suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, and policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with campus personnel and emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, patrols, and security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
