Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Access Control) in Darlington, SC to safeguard clients across a tech, media, and telecom site. The role includes managing access, patrolling premises, and delivering high-quality customer service to employees and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and guests at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, common spaces, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and assigned systems; verify credentials and follow established procedures for visitor management and restricted-area access.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately in required reports; communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Sat: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least two years of security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.
• Have access control and badge experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
