Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Access Control in Champaign, IL. The role focuses on safeguarding clients, managing entry points, verifying credentials, and providing excellent customer service within a food and beverage facility.

The position requires compliance with site policies and teamwork to ensure secure operations. Day-to-day duties include monitoring access, issuing badges, responding to incidents, and patrolling assigned areas.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Monitor entry and exit points at a food and beverage manufacturing location; verify identification, visitor credentials, and authorization for employees, contractors, vendors, and delivery personnel.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records; issue and collect badges, passes, keys, and/or other access credentials in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; promptly communicate concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

What You'll Do
