Job summary

Emanuel Medical Center seeks a Security Officer under the general direction of the Director of Security. You will monitor all areas of the EMC hospital, clinics and nursing home to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors and employees.

You will supervise parking and traffic in line with EMC policy and report to the Security Office as directed. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED; prior security and training experience is desired.

• Experience in security and training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all areas of Emanuel Medical Center (including hospital, clinics and nursing home) to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors and staff.
• Monitor parking facilities and pedestrian/vehicle flow in accordance with EMC policy.
• Adhere to EMC policies and procedures and follow directions from the Director of Security.

Under the general direction of the Director of Security, the security officer is responsible for monitoring all areas of EMC hospital, Clinics and Nursing Home in order to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and employees. Monitors parking facilities and pedestrian and vehicle traffic in accordance with department and EMC policy. The security officer is an employee of Emanuel Medical Center and is expected to follow the policies and procedures of the facility.
