Overview
Works as part of a team to ensure a safe working environment for Company associates. Protects Company assets from fire, severe weather, theft, and vandalism. Controls access to Company property by verifying the identification and credentials of associates and visitors. Performs various security duties, works with minimal supervision, makes established decisions, escalates to the Shift Sergeant when necessary, and provides regular updates.
Responsibilities
What you will do:- Remain vigilant and observant at posts in lobbies and service streets.
- Monitor alarm and access control systems and respond according to established procedures.
- Conduct patrols inside and around the perimeter of Western & Southern Financial Group property.
- Monitor CCTV and radios, responding as per procedures.
- Control access and maintain a safe environment for Company associates.
- Maintain records and prepare written reports.
- Maintain a professional appearance.
- Perform other assigned duties.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. (Required)
- Experience with military, state, county, municipal police, or private police training (Required)
- Ability to make sound decisions and exercise good judgment in daily responsibilities and emergencies (Required)
- Ability to prepare reports, correspondence, and forms accurately and conforming to rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style.
- Ability to define problems, interpret data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying information clearly and concisely to internal and external customers.
- Willingness to work any shift and perform foot patrols inside and outside.
- Visual acuity to observe conditions, read correspondence, reports, and forms.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, reach, bend, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to hear alarms and observe security monitors.
- Professional dress and maintenance of Company uniforms.
- Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications; ability to learn security software.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record (Required).
Work Setting/Position Demands
- Work in indoor and outdoor conditions; remain stationary or on foot for extended periods.
- Communicate verbally and in writing effectively.
- Visual acuity for security observations and reading documents.
- Apply logical thinking to solve problems and interpret data.
- Physical ability to perform various movements and defend oneself if necessary; lift up to 25 lbs.
- Extended hours during peak times or special events.
Travel Requirements
