Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is seeking a Security Officer to monitor and protect facilities, employees, patients, and visitors. This PRN position operates under general supervision and requires shift work and overtime as needed.

The role involves communicating tactfully with the public and applying security methods for hospital buildings and grounds, following established standards set by the Hospital Security Manager.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and one year of relevant experience (Security, Law Enforcement, Fire Service, EMS, Behavioral Health, Counselor, Education, or Military).
• A Bachelor’s degree or other relevant certifications may be substituted for the required work experience.
• Must obtain and maintain IAHSS certification within the first year of employment.
• Must have a valid South Carolina Driver’s License.
