Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a dedicated Security Officer for Winter Haven Hospital in Winter Haven, FL. The role involves patrols, incident response, customer assistance, and weapons screening to maintain safety for team members, patients, and visitors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• IAHSS (Security) credential within 1 year.
• Security D license within 90 days.
• FDLE (Law Enforcement) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol and detection duties to ensure safety of team members, patients and visitors.
• Assist customers and respond to security incidents.
• Conduct weapons screening as required and complete related documentation.
• Provide monitoring services and report safety concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned by security leadership.

Position: Security Officer
Facility: Winter Haven Hospital
The Security Officer performs general safety & security duties including:

• Patrol and detection services
• Assisting customers
• Response and intervention responsibilities
• Provide monitoring services to assure team member, patient and visitor safety
• Completes communication and documentation tools
• Conducts weapons screening in appropriate manner
• Completes other duties as assigned
• Required specific skills also includes life safety and weapons screening techniques.

Minimum Qualifications
Certifications and Licensures

• Driver's License (State of Florida)
• IAHSS (Security) - Within 1 year
• Security D - Within 90 days
