Job summary

Catholic Health’s Good Samaritan University Hospital seeks a Security Officer to patrol the hospital and grounds, monitor parking and safety, and enforce security regulations. You will routinely staff fixed posts in the Emergency Department and lobbies, while supporting visitors, staff, and patients and contributing to the Emergency Management Response Team.

The role requires a high school diploma, a NYS Security Guard License, a clean NYS Driver's License, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; college degree preferred.
• NYS Security Guard License is required.
• Clean NYS Driver's License.
• BLS for providers from American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the Hospital and surrounding grounds to ensure safety.
• Monitor lighting, parking conditions, and security perimeters.
• Respond to incidents and write incident reports as needed.
• Enforce hospital security regulations and assist the Emergency Management Team.

Job Details

The Security Officer is responsible for patrolling the Hospital and the grounds. He monitors lighting, illegal parking and reviews conditions of the parking fields, curbing and sidewalks. He is regularly assigned to fixed posts in the Emergency Department, Main Lobby and Baxter Lobby. He also performs other related duties and task as may be assigned or required. He monitors visitors in the Hospital. He also writes incident reports as required. He also ensures the safety of all staff, visitors and patients in the Hospital. He enforces all the security regulations. He is also part of the Hospital Emergency Management Response Team.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, or equivalent required college degree preferred.
• NYS Security Guard License
• Clean NYS Driver's License
• BLS for providers from American Heart Association required

Salary Range

Starting from USD $28.00/Hr.
