Job summary

Theraplant in Watertown, CT is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to safeguard employees, assets, and facilities while ensuring compliance with policies, SOPs, and state regulations. The role includes monitoring activity, controlling access, supporting deliveries with the assigned vehicle, and preparing readiness protocols for emergencies.

A background check will be conducted, and a valid CT driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older with a valid Connecticut driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Minimum one year of security experience required; no prior criminal history.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work on weekends when needed.
• Comfortable driving large vehicles as part of delivery and escort responsibilities.
• Strong communication skills; computer literate with experience in access/video control systems.
• Successful completion of a background check is required.

Responsibilities

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand for extended periods (up to eight-hour shifts).
• Frequent use of hands, fingers, speech, and hearing.

• Vision requirements include both close and distance vision.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00

Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Mandatory Training Schedule: Two Week Training Schedule will be provided once job offer is sent
