Securitas USA is hiring a Security Officer for a full-time, on-site role at our Eugene, OR location. You will patrol premises, monitor CCTV and alarm systems, control access, and respond to emergencies while enforcing safety protocols and company rules.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer/technology skills needed.
• Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience is a plus.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork skills are required.
• Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure.
• Strong observational and communication abilities with quick decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of premises, parking lots, and entry points to identify security risks.
• Monitor and operate surveillance cameras, alarms, and security equipment.
• Control building access by verifying IDs, credentials, and visitor logs.
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, emergencies, and incidents.
• Enforce security protocols and company rules for premises, personnel, and visitors.
• Inspect doors, windows, gates, and equipment to prevent unauthorized access.
• Investigate suspicious activities and security breaches.

Site Location: Eugene, OR

Wage: $17.25/HR

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 10pm-6am

The Security Officer protects people, property, and assets by patrolling premises, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe and secure environment. They serve as a helpful professional resource while ensuring everyone on the property follows safety protocols.

Objectives

• Ensure the safety and security of personnel, property, and company assets.
• Maintain a secure environment that protects employees, customers, and visitors from harm.
• Help prevent theft, vandalism, unauthorized access, and other security threats.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and security incidents to minimize risk and damage.
• Uphold company policies, safety regulations, and legal compliance standards.
• Provide visible deterrence against criminal activity and suspicious behavior.
• Support organizational operations by creating a safe and secure workplace.
• Protect sensitive information and intellectual property from unauthorized access.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Prior Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience a plus!!
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.
• Must have strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and quick decision-making capabilities.
