Job summary

Providence seeks a Security Officer I to safeguard patients, visitors and staff across facilities in Spokane, WA. The role enforces hospital policies, investigates potential crimes, and provides protective services to high-risk areas.

You may be required to drive as part of the job and respond to emergent situations in the local service area. Ideal candidates have 1 year of security/military experience or healthcare setting exposure; an associate's degree in criminal justice, history, or English

• Provide protective services to high-risk areas and support emergent situations in the local service area.

Description

The Security Office I receives general direction from the Security Manager, Supervisor or Lead Security Officer. Performs a variety of security protective duties to protect patients, visitors, staff, physicians, property and facilities from accidents, bodily harm, fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry. Enforces Providence Health Care, facility and security policies and regulations. Investigate reports of potential criminal conduct against PHC staff, visitors, staff, and property; responds and assists in restraining patients; detains individuals when necessary or at the direction of a police officer; and provides protective services to high-risk areas. May be required to support any Providence or affiliated organization in emergent situations in the local service area.

Required Qualifications

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
