Job summary

Providence is seeking a Security Officer for Renton and Seattle in a hybrid role. You will protect patients, visitors, caregivers, and property, enforce policies, investigate incidents, restrain when needed, and provide reception services across Providence facilities.

Driving to multiple locations with a company-provided vehicle is required. This role offers opportunities within Providence's safety and security team and supports our mission of care.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Law Enforcement/Security/Military experience or two years of responsible work experience. Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Associate's degree: One-year post-secondary education and one year healthcare security experience

Responsibilities

• Investigate reports of potential criminal conduct; respond and assist in restraining disruptive/combative individuals; provide protective services.

Security Officer - Renton and Seattle - Hybrid

Receives general direction from the Security Manager, Supervisor or Lead Security Officer. Performs a variety of security responsibilities to protect patients, visitors, caregivers, property and facilities from accidents, bodily harm, fire, theft, vandalism, hazardous materials, and illegal entry. Enforces Providence St Joseph Health, facility and security policies and regulations. Investigate reports of potential criminal conduct against PSJH caregivers, visitors, and property; responds and assists in restraining disruptive/combative individuals; detains individuals when necessary; provides protective services to high-risk areas; and performs reception services. May be required to support any Providence St Joseph Health or affiliated organization in emergent situations in the local service area.

Driving to multiple locations with a company-provided vehicle for work will be required.

Required Qualifications:

• Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.
