Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Security Officer to monitor and protect facilities, staff, patients and visitors. The role reports to the Medical Center Security Manager and requires shift work and overtime as needed.
Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma with security-related experience; a Bachelor's degree or other relevant certifications may substitute. IAHSS certification within the first year and a South Carolina driver's license are required.
The Security Officer reports to the Medical Center Security Manager. Under general supervision, the Security Officer monitors and provides protection and security for facilities, premises, employees, patients and visitors.

Performs routine and repetitive duties following clearly prescribed standards and practices as set forth by the Manager of Hospital Security. Work involves shift work and some overtime. Must be able to use tact and communicate clearly with public.
