The Medical University of South Carolina seeks a Security Officer reporting to the Medical Center Security Manager. Under supervision, you will monitor and provide protection for facilities, employees, patients and visitors, and communicate tactfully with the public.
Requirements include a High School Diploma, one year of security experience, eligibility to obtain IAHSS within the first year, and a valid South Carolina driver’s license. Shift work and overtime may apply.

The Security Officer reports to the Medical Center Security Manager. Under general supervision, the Security Officer monitors and provides protection and security for facilities, premises, employees, patients and visitors. Ability to communicate tactfully with the general public. Knowledge of methods of security in buildings and grounds institution. Performs routine and repetitive duties following clearly prescribed standards and practices as set forth by the Manager of Hospital Security. Work involves shift work and some overtime. Must be able to use tact and communicate clearly with public.
