Blessing Health System is seeking an Emergency Department Security Officer in Quincy, IL. The role focuses on maintaining a safe environment by patrolling parking areas, protecting assets, and responding to security incidents with swift coordination with local law enforcement.
Daily duties include active communication with ED personnel and attendance at ED huddles to ensure smooth operations and patient safety. Must be ready to manage emergencies calmly and professionally.
PAY RATE: $18.52 - $26.86
BASED ON RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
This position is responsible for promoting a safe environment for patients, visitors, and employees by patrolling parking lots, protecting physical assets, responding to all security issues and maintaining good working relationships with local law enforcement agencies and the Emergency Department officers will need to keep an open line of communication with the Emergency Department staff. Emergency Department Security Officer(s) will serve as the law enforcement liaison. Ability to lift/move/carry objects or persons. Ability to restrain combative patients. Escort incarcerated patients and/or assist law enforcement personal to various hospital areas to maintain hospital policy. Security Officer(s) specified to Emergency Department only will be required to attend daily Emergency Department huddles.
