Job summary

Lagarda Security is seeking a vigilant Security Officer to safeguard students, staff and visitors on educational campuses in Michigan. You will monitor premises, control access, and respond to emergencies with trained in-house procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a 12-panel drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Monitor school premises and conduct regular patrols to identify potential security risks.
• Control access points by verifying identitie checks on visitors and contractors.
• Respond swiftly to incidents or emergencies, including medical emergencies, conflicts, or security breaches.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any security concerns or occurrences during shifts.
• Perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or supplies.
• Operate emergency response procedures including AED operation, CPR, and fire safety protocols.
• Manage access control systems to ensure authorized entry while maintaining a secure environment.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields highly preferred
• Training in first aid, CPR, AED use.
• Familiarity with conflict de‑escalation, conflict management, and emergency response procedures
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in high‑pressure situations
