Job summary

Security America, Inc. in West Virginia seeks a full-time security officer to protect property and people, respond to incidents, and report clearly in writing. You will work at various sites across the state and must be able to stand for long periods.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, be 18+, have a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a drug screen and background checks. We offer health and vision insurance, IRA options, and paid vacation.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and able to work flexible schedules.
• Have a high school diploma, GED, or 10 years of verifiable work experience.
• Criminal history, employment verification and references checks, and background screenings may be required.
• Be drug free and able to pass a drug screen.
• Have reliable transportation to and from work sites.
• Able to communicate effectively both written and verbally for reports and interactions with the public and emergency personnel.
• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Meet state licensing requirements for Security Officers, if required.

Ideal security officer candidates meeting basic requirements for the position must:

• Be at least 18 years of age; Be able to work flexible schedules;
• Have a high school diploma, GED, or 10 years of verifiable work experience;
• Criminal history, employment verification and references, registered sex-offender search, and drivers license validation;
• Be drug free and able to pass a drug screen (unless undergoing documented medical treatment);
• Have access to reliable transportation to and from the work location;
• Be able to communicate effectively both written and orally for the purpose of report writing and interacting with the public and emergency personnel;
• Be authorized to work in the U.S.;
