Job summary

Hyatt Place Newark is seeking a Hotel Security Officer to maintain a safe environment for guests and staff. You will patrol hotel areas, respond to disturbances, and prepare incident reports for management.

The role emphasizes courteous enforcement of security protocols and safeguarding guest privacy. Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or equivalent, hotel security experience, and CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior security experience desirable.
• CPR/First Aid preferred.
• Work schedule varies and may include holidays and weekends.
• Standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and climbing stairs.

Responsibilities

• Patrol designated hotel areas.
• Respond to disturbances and emergency situations.
• Maintain daily activity log.
• Prepare incident and other reports and communicate all related information to hotel management.
• Access secured areas for authorized personnel.
• Escort guests to their rooms or assist guest’s w/ entry into their rooms according to hotel standards.
• Monitor TV cameras, if applicable.
• Perform bell person tasks and assist guests with luggage.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
