A leading organization is seeking dedicated Security Officers to provide 24-hour coverage at a Bronx facility, ensuring safety for residents and staff. Candidates must have a high school diploma, security experience, and relevant certifications. The role includes responding to emergencies, maintaining facility safety, and supporting residents effectively.
Reporting Relationships: Security Officers report to the Supervisor of Family Safety.
Position Summary: Security Officers provide 24-hour security coverage to the facility to prevent theft and ensure the safety of both the facility staff, and residents.
Nature and Scope: Although some tasks are meant to ensure the safety and security of clients and staff, Security Officers are the first staff seen by new clients or anyone entering the facility. They are on-site 24 hours a day, seven days per week—Thus, must be reliable, personable, professional, sensitive, and able to act as role models.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the general supervision of the Supervisor of Family Safety, are expected to perform the following principal duties and responsibilities.
Minimal Qualifications:
Degree Requirement: High School Diploma or equivalency and at least two (2) years of related experience in a shelter setting and (2) years of Security Guard experience.
Active Security Guard License
Certified Fire Safety Guard (F02)

Compensation
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $44,298.
