America's second oldest horse racing track, the Fair Grounds has been a New Orleans staple since 1852. We are a premiere entertainment venue presenting thoroughbred & exotic animal races, slots, video poker and simulcasting year-round. Located in New Orleans, Fair Grounds operates a slot-machine gaming facility and 13 off-track betting parlors throughout southeast Louisiana.

JOB SUMMARY

Security Officers protects the property from vandalism, theft and other illegal activity. Officers may do this while patrolling the grounds or while stationed at a stationery position. Casino security officers also protect the casino funds/money during transport through various destinations. Officer(s) must enforce all safety and security protocol related to slots, racing or backside operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safeguards the company’s assets.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several variables. Ability to write and present information to management in a reasonable manner. Ability to perform normal mathematical computations in regard to the implementation of current duties.
