Job Summary: The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all patrons, employees and company assets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of employees and customers.
• Assist in transporting money and chips.
• Control access to restricted areas.
React to patron and employee incidents and accidents.
• Monitor patron and employee passage in and out of the gaming facility.
• Check for and report safety hazards.
• Answer incoming calls to the facility, direct calls, or answer patron questions.
• Operate company vehicle and/or equipment that requires a valid Driver’s License (may be required).

Required Skills and Abilities

• Maintain interpersonal working relationships among all personnel.
• Oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of the Emergency Disaster Plan Manual.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Ability to obtain a valid Racing License.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions: The physical demands include frequently sitting or standing; walking; using hands; reaching; climbing or balancing; stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; and talking or hearing. Noise level is moderate to loud. Employees circulate throughout assigned areas, including the smoking area.
