Position Overview

Estate Security Services, Inc. is seeking professional, personable, and dependable Unarmed Security Officers for a new luxury retail security detail in the Los Angeles area near The Grove, Original Farmers Market, and Television City.

This is not a traditional security guard position.

We are looking for security professionals who can combine excellent situational awareness with exceptional customer service. In addition to maintaining a safe and secure environment, our officers will serve as an extension of the retailer's team and brand.

The ideal candidate is friendly, polished, well-groomed, approachable, attentive, and comfortable interacting with customers in a high-end retail environment. Our goal is to provide security that enhances the customer experience while maintaining a professional and effective security presence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional, visible, and approachable security presence
• Welcome and professionally interact with customers and guests
• Provide excellent customer service while supporting the retailer's overall customer experience
• Assist with customer and guest flow as needed
• Monitor the store, entrances, exits, and surrounding areas
• Maintain strong situational awareness without creating an overly aggressive security presence
• Observe and report suspicious activity, safety concerns, or unusual circumstances
• Assist store management and employees with security-related matters
• Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies according to established procedures
• Complete incident reports and other documentation when necessary
• Maintain professional communication with customers, store personnel, and ESS management
• Follow all post orders, company policies, and client-specific procedures

Minimum Requirements

• Valid California BSIS Guard Card
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to remain alert, attentive, and professional throughout the assigned shift
• Comfortable working in a luxury retail and customer-facing environment
• Ability to follow post orders and company procedures
• Prior security experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications

While this is an unarmed position, Estate Security Services maintains a diverse roster of security professionals for a variety of assignments throughout Southern California.

Applicants possessing additional credentials are strongly encouraged to apply, including:

• BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit
• California CCW issued by a law enforcement agency
• Executive Protection training or experience
• Law enforcement or military experience
• Luxury retail, hospitality, entertainment, or other high-end customer service experience

Firearms and CCW credentials are NOT required for this assignment, and this position is unarmed. These additional qualifications may provide opportunities to work other Estate Security Services assignments for which the appropriate credentials are required.

Schedule & Compensation

• Starting pay of $25.00 per hour and up, depending on experience, qualifications, performance, and assignment
• Opportunities for increased compensation following successful completion of the company's probationary period
• Shifts are generally approximately 8.0 hours
• Overtime is paid when applicable for hours worked beyond 8.0 hours in a workday
• Paid rest breaks and meal periods in accordance with company policy and applicable California law
• Full-time, part-time, rover, and on-call opportunities may be available
• Immediate hiring for qualified candidates

Dress & Appearance

This is a high-end retail environment, and professional appearance is extremely important.

The anticipated dress standard is business casual/professional, generally consisting of a suit or sport coat without a tie, professional attire, and comfortable professional footwear appropriate for standing and walking throughout the shift.

Officers must maintain a polished, well-groomed, approachable appearance consistent with the client's luxury retail environment.
