Job summary

Silver Maple Recovery of Lorain is seeking a Security Officer to protect clients and staff. You will patrol the facility, monitor alarms and cameras, and report incidents to management, ensuring compliance with policies and laws.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills, and a valid driver’s license with TB testing as needed. This is a non-exempt, full-time position depending on staffing needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as a security officer or related role preferred.
• Must be able to operate basic computer reporting tools.
• Willingness to comply with laws and institutional regulations at all times.
• Must hold a valid driver's license and have/pass TB test as required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment by patrolling premises and monitoring access points.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies, report observations and incidents.
• Monitor surveillance equipment and coordinate with management.
• Prepare and complete necessary reports documenting observations and activities.
• Provide a consistent presence to deter criminal activity and protect clients, staff and visitors.

Reports To: Environmental Service Director and Director of OperationsFLSA Status: Non-ExemptDuties and Responsibilities include the following.
