Job summary

Silver Shield Inc. is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to maintain a safe environment for clients, employees and visitors. This role requires vigilance, strong surveillance skills and the ability to respond effectively in emergencies.

Shifts include evenings, overnights and weekends. You will patrol, monitor CCTV/alarms, respond to disturbances, file reports and coordinate with local law enforcement when needed. Level II certification is provided within 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Proven work experience as a Security Officer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas on foot or in a vehicle to ensure safety and security.

• Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.

• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential security risks or hazards.
• Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of daily activities.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary.

Skills

• Strong surveillance skills to effectively monitor premises using CCTV systems.
• Excellent conflict management abilities to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally.
• Knowledge of law enforcement procedures, including arrest techniques and legal rights.
• CPR certification and first aid training to provide immediate medical assistance if needed.
• Familiarity with loss prevention strategies to prevent theft or damage to property.
