The ND Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation is seeking a Security Officer I for the North Dakota State Hospital in Jamestown. Hiring bonus available up to $3,000 with one year employment agreement
PM Position 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
NOC Position 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM
As a Security Officer, you will participate in campus wide security implementation by providing direct services such as escorting and client supervision, as well as be part of Control room operations. You will also assist in planning, implementing, reporting on, and coordinating security programs for Residential Services and Adult Psychiatric Services within the North Dakota State Hospital Treatment Programs. Work will include assisting with investigations; policy and procedure coordination and implementation; complete secure facility inspections and rounds in compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements within the Security Department.
To be considered for this position, you are required to have a high school diploma or GED, and a combination of one year of training (i.e. police academy, military police school, etc.), education, and/or work experience in criminal justice, law enforcement, security operations or closely related field, military experience; or one year working in a hospital setting.
