United Supermarkets, LLC is seeking a Security Officer to safeguard assets and provide a safe shopping environment for guests and a safe workplace for team members. Responsibilities include deterring shoplifting, monitoring shrink, safety checks, and other duties as assigned.

The role emphasizes guest engagement, proactive loss prevention, compliance with guidelines and state laws, surveillance, audits, and collaboration with Asset Protection to reduce shrink.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Commissioned law enforcement officer preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform all physical aspects of duties, including bending, standing in place, lifting, squatting, climbing, walking and running.
• Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude.
• Ability to function well in pressured situations and make good decisions.
• Ability to learn, use, and operate various computer software programs and other electronic tools.
• Ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge, greet, and engage guests when they enter my area or department.
• Take proactive measures to minimize loss from all sources in the store.
• Follow corporate guidelines and applicable state laws; apprehend theft offenders.
• Follow daily work schedule as assigned by Asset Protection Officer Manager.
• Conduct surveillance and investigations as directed by Asset Protection Management.
• Coordinate with Asset Protection on shrink reduction programs.
• Conduct store level operational audits, walks, and safety checks.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

The Security Officers is responsible for securing all of The United Family's assets while providing a safe work environment for our team members and a safe shopping environment for our guests. He/She will perform job duties to include apprehending and deterring shoplifters, monitoring store shrink, safety checks, and other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• When a guest enters my area or department, my first and most important responsibility becomes to acknowledge, greet, and engage that guest


• Take proactive measures to ensure loss is minimized from all sources in the store


• Follow corporate guidelines and applicable state laws, apprehend guests or Team Members who commit theft from the company


• Follows daily work schedule as assigned by the Asset Protection Officer Manager


• Conduct surveillance and other investigations, as directed by Asset Protection Management


• Coordinate with Asset Protection management on corporate shrink reduction programs


• Conduct store level operational audits, walks, and safety checks


• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Key Requirements
