Job summary

Weiser Security Services, Inc. in Gaithersburg, MD is seeking a vigilant security officer to protect assets, personnel, customers and visitors at assigned sites. The role reports to the Account Manager or Branch Manager and includes patrolling, access control, and incident reporting.

The position requires an active MSP security guard card and offers a 44-hour work week with four hours of overtime. The schedule is Monday through Friday 3 PM–11 PM and Saturday 7 PM–11 PM. Pay is $17.15 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Protect the interests of the client within the facility and protect lives and property of employees and visitors.
• Observe and report signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances.
• Prepare daily reports as trained and submit to contacts.
• Complete patrols as required by post orders.
• Monitor and control access to property per post orders.
• Notify authorities in emergencies as outlined in post orders.
• Report violations of policy and laws as stated in the Employee Handbook.

Reports to: Branch Manager or Account Manager

Job Summary:

This position is under the direct supervision of the Account Manager or Branch Manager and is responsible for protection, safeguarding, and security of assets, personnel, customers and visitors to assigned sites.

This position has (4) hours of weekly overtime.

Must have active security guard card issued by MSP.

Pay: $17.15 per hour

shift: Monday thru Friday - 1500-2300 (3PM-11PM) Saturday 1900-2300 (7PM - 11PM ) (4 hours overtime per week) 44 hours per week.

Job Duties:

Protect the interests of the client within the limits of the facility and to protect the lives and property of employees and visitors.

Observe and report signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances.

Prepare reports on a daily basis as trained and turn them into the proper contacts.

Complete patrols as required by post orders

Monitor and control access to property as required by post orders.

Notify proper authorities in all cases of emergencies as outlined in the post orders.

Report all violations of company policy and local and federal laws as stated in the Employee Handbook.
