Job summary

Community Medical Centers is seeking Security Officers in Fresno, CA to safeguard patients, visitors and staff across our hospital campuses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, HSE, or CHS IEP Certificate (required).
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s in related field (preferred).
• 1 year of law enforcement, security, military or related experience (required).
• DL — California Driver’s License (required).
• BLS — Basic Life Support (required).
• Guard Card (required).
• CHS HealthStream CPS - OC spray endorsement within 30 days (required).

Qualifications

• Education:
  • High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE), or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate (required)
  • Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in related field (preferred)
• Experience:
  • 1 year of law enforcement, security, military or other relevant experience (required)
  • Advanced military, law enforcement or security training (preferred)
• Licenses and Certifications:
  • DL - Valid California Driver’s License and driving record acceptable to Community Health System (required)
  • BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) (required)
  • GUARD - State of California Guard Card (required)
• CHS HealthStream Course:
  • CPS - OC (Pepper) Spray Endorsement required within 30 days of hire or transfer into position
