Job summary

Desert Valley Hospital in Southern California seeks a Security Officer to join an award-winning team focused on safety and patient care. You will perform security services, including electronic surveillance and rounds, coordinate responses to incidents, and enforce policies to maintain a safe workplace.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and State Driver’s license upon hire, with preference for healthcare security experience and a State Guard Certification.

Qualifications

• Experience in Healthcare security or related field preferred.
• State Driver’s license upon hire.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Performs security services, including electronic surveillance, and systematic manual Security Officers’ rounds.
• Coordinates facility response to various potential problems for patients, employees, and visitors.
• Enforces policy & procedure, ensuring equitable enforcement.
• Follows guidelines and perpetual monitoring techniques, towards establishing a safe workplace for employees and a safe environment of care.
• Works with the Environment of Care committee to ensure a multi-disciplinary approach to security and safety.
• Participates in employee awareness and education.
• Driving as needed for company business.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $23.00 to $23.00. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
