Job summary

Providence Regional Medical Center Everett is seeking a Security Officer to protect patients, visitors, staff and property. You will enforce facility policies, conduct risk assessments, respond to incidents, and provide protective services across the campus in Everett.

The role requires flexibility for on-site work, adherence to state driving requirements if needed, and a background in security or law enforcement is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Driving may be necessary; provide driver license and auto insurance upon request.
  • Healthcare setting experience preferred; 1 year Law Enforcement/Security/Military experience or 2 years of responsible work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Protect patients, visitors, staff, physicians and property from hazards, theft, and unlawful entry.
  • Enforce Providence Health Care and facility policies; respond to incidents and assist in restraining individuals when needed.
  • Provide Notary services and support Providence or affiliated organizations in emergent situations within the service area.

Description

Receives general direction from the Security Manager, Supervisor or Lead Security Officer. Performs a variety of security responsibilities to protect patients, visitors, staff, physicians, property and facilities from accidents, bodily harm, fire, theft, vandalism, hazardous materials, and illegal entry. Enforces Providence Health Care, facility and security policies and regulations. Investigate reports of potential criminal conduct against PRMCE staff, visitors, staff and property; responds and assists in restraining patients; detains individuals when necessary; provides protective services to high-risk areas; and performs Notary services. May be required to support any Providence or affiliated organization in emergent situations in the local service area.

Required Qualifications
  • Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree
  • 1 year Law Enforcement/Security/Military experience or 2 years of responsible work experience and prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Related college coursework may substitute for 1 year of experience.

Pay Range

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Pay Range: $23.39 - $35.78
