Shifts typically run 7:00am–7:00pm or 7:00pm–7:00am, four days per week, with every other weekend coverage. A shift differential is available; candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and a valid Illinois driver’s license with a 5-year MVR.

Education and/or Other Requirements
High school diploma or GED. Must possess valid Illinois driver’s license and must be deemed as an acceptable driver in accordance with the MHS Fleet Safety Policy. Five year MVR will be required). Must be able to operate automatic shift vehicle. Sufficient previous experience in security operations. Will receive patient restraint and one-on-one inservice training.

Environmental Factors
Will be exposed to dangers of assault and hazard resulting from investigation of alarms, confronting suspicious persons, calls for service, and other breaches of the peace. Must have ability to perform job functions outdoors in inclement weather; must be available to work on shift and be subject to on-call. Occasional involvement in patient restraint.
