Job summary

Golden Nugget Danville is seeking a Security Officer to provide basic security coverage at our Danville, IL casino and hotel. Under the direction of Security Supervisors, you will help protect guests, visitors and staff while delivering courteous service.

You will patrol, document incidents, assist guests, manage access and participate in emergency responses. Qualifications include a high school diploma, 1 year of related experience, and ability to obtain a gaming license.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Exhibit conduct in accordance with Illinois Gaming Board Rules and Regulations and company policies.
• Perform duties related to the IGB Statewide Self-Exclusion Program as described in the IC.
• Deliver courteous and professional guest service in all interactions.
• Ensure security for all transfers or monies within casino and hotel areas.
• Assist guests with information about property and events, directions, and escorts if necessary.
• Prepare detailed incident reports clearly and precisely.
• Patrol hotel and casino areas, report unusual situations and suspicious persons.
• Assist in coordinating and resolving emergency situations.
• Maintain proper key control and strong communication with guests and staff.
• Perform duties on or off-site related to guest services and hospitality functions.

Job purpose

Under the direction of the Security Supervisors, the incumbent provides basic security coverage ensuring the adequate protection is provided for the safety of guests, visitors, and employees.

Duties and responsibilities

• Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) Rules and Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Company and departmental policies and procedures.
• Perform the duties and responsibilities associated with the IGB Statewide Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program as described in Section A of this IC.
• Consistently deliver positive, courteous, and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow employees.
• Ensure the proper security is provided for all transfers or monies within the casino and hotel areas of the complex.
• Assist patrons with a wide variety of inquiries and situations including, but not limited to, providing information about the property and events, giving directions, and possibly escorting them if necessary.
• Prepare detailed incident reports in a clear and precise manner.
• Patrol the hotel and casino areas to establish a security presence and report all unusual situations and/or suspicious persons.
• Assist in the coordination and resolution of emergency situations.
• Assist in maintain proper key control.
• Maintain excellent communication skills and interpersonal relations with guests, vendors, visitors, and Golden Nugget staff.
• Perform any duties on or off-site involving guest services and quality control including, but not limited to, special events, guest giveaways, crowd control, property cleanliness, and other hospitality functions as needed.
• Display professional conduct, sound judgment, the highest level of professional integrity and a strong work ethic.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year of comparable experience is required, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to obtain a gaming license.
• Must have solid decision‑making, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal communication skills are required.
