Job summary

Sky River is seeking a Security Officer to safeguard guests, team members and assets. You will patrol the casino/hotel, enforce rules, handle incident reports and assist with monetary transfers on the floor.

The role requires strong customer service, reliability and the ability to respond quickly in emergencies. Qualifications include 21+, casino security experience preferred, strong organizational skills, and the ability to pass health, drug and licensing checks.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Previous security experience preferred.
• Previous experience in a casino/hotel resort preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Must be able to pass a fit for duty physical with an occupational health professional.
• Must be capable of carrying out the physical responsibilities associated with a Security Officer role.
• Must be able to pass a drug test that includes testing for THC.
• Ability to provide proof of a valid California driver’s license.
• Ability to operate company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety of casino/hotel guests and team members.
• Record investigation and incident reports in a timely manner.
• Provide customer service to all guests when needed.
• Assist with the transfer of money and chips from casino floor.
• Patrols casino/hotel during shift to ensure safety.
• Enforces casino/hotel rules, policies and regulations set by the company and the Gaming Commission are being followed.
• Stands post for extended times as assigned by manager.
• Reports to supervisor/manager on responsibilities on day-to-day activities
• Controls and diffuses potential problems and assists employees and guests in emergencies.
• Controls access to casino/hotel floor and restricted areas.
• Responds to back-up calls immediately.
• Prepares reports of significant activities.
• Maintains radio contact with base at all times during assigned shift.
• Attends periodic meetings and training sessions.
• Perform physical escorts and/or arrests of non-compliant guests.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
