This position involves providing security services to protect Authority property, facilities, employees, tenants, visitors, and the public. Employees perform routine patrols, monitor facilities, respond to incidents, enforce Authority policies, and maintain a safe and secure environment. Employees perform essential functions as outlined herein according to the functional assignment area.

Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); with one year of related security, law enforcement, military, customer service, or equivalent experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be required to operate security vehicles, golf carts, radios, computers, telephones, surveillance systems, access control systems, flashlights, traffic control devices, and other equipment necessary to perform assigned duties.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently be required to stand, walk, patrol, climb stairs, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach with hands and arms. The employee may occasionally be required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must be able to hear and communicate effectively by radio and telephone.
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors under varying weather conditions. Employees may be exposed to loud noise, moving vehicles, aircraft operations, adverse weather, uneven terrain, and emergency situations. The position requires regular patrol of airport property and may involve working evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime, and responding to emergency callouts.
