Job summary

Qualys, Inc. is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to manage prompt resolution of customer and partner service requests in a highly secure environment.

You will interact with teams across engineering, sales, and operations to ensure satisfaction and smooth integration of Qualys products into customer environments. The ideal candidate has hands-on networking knowledge, strong Windows and Linux experience, and a passion for security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in a technical support role.
• Unix/Linux experience in an enterprise environment.
• In-depth TCP/IP understanding.
• Strong knowledge of current firewall, Intrusion Detection System technologies, and Network Vulnerability Scanners.
• Windows Active Directory authentication and security.
• Knowledge of Samba/Active Directory integration and related services.
• Splunk usage including log queries and report/dashboard generation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bilingual candidates highly desirable (Spanish, Portuguese).

Responsibilities

• Provide support via phone, email, and WebEx focused on the Qualys portfolio and its integration with customer environments.
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Engineering, Finance, Sales, Alliances and Operations.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction with all transactions.
