Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking a Security Monitor II, Community Corrections to supervise the facility population, ensuring safety, security, and sanitation. The role includes mentoring and training staff, with focus on care, custody and control of residents in a residential setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• One year of work experience, including six months in a security-related field.
• Experience in correctional management is preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing and apply problem solving techniques.

Responsibilities

• Monitor resident activities, ensure head counts are conducted and logged as scheduled and accountability calls completed.
• Provide guidance to monitoring staff on shift and supervise daily activities.
• Conduct drug and alcohol testing as needed or directed by facility administration.
• Perform rescue functions during accidents or emergencies, provide basic medical aid and CPR, and evacuate people as needed.
