THE JOB

We are seeking a Manager – Venue Security. The Security Manager oversees the security department to ensure the safety of guests, employees, artists, and the venue. The role involves managing costs and ensuring guest satisfaction by guarding, patrolling, and monitoring the premises to prevent theft, violence, or rule infractions.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

1. Collaborate with the General Manager and Operations Manager to ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and laws.
2. Monitor and control access for employees, visitors, and others to maintain security.
3. Conduct visual monitoring throughout the venue and take corrective actions as needed.
4. Provide guidance for improvements and implement necessary adjustments.
5. Investigate and resolve security complaints and interact positively with guests.
6. Patrol among visitors, patrons, and staff to preserve order and property.
7. Document daily activities and irregularities through reports.
8. Manage security staff, including interviewing, training, supervising, and disciplining.
9. Participate in the venue’s sustainability initiatives, such as waste sorting and recycling education.
10. Assist in closing the venue post-show, including collecting recyclables and storing equipment.
11. Organize and communicate with staff through meetings and schedules.
12. Review and update operational policies and procedures regularly.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• State licensing requirements, such as a Guard Card, if applicable.
• Knowledge of security operations, safety practices, and enforcement procedures.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
• Teamwork and program execution abilities.
• Physical ability to walk, climb stairs, lift, and carry 50 lbs+.
