Job summary

A hospitality lodge is seeking a Security Manager to oversee all security operations, ensuring the safety of employees, guests, and property. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in public interaction and CCTV system management. Responsibilities include leading the security team, executing emergency plans, and investigating incidents. The position requires a high school education with a preference for a college degree in a related field.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a position dealing with the general public.
  • Experience managing extensive CCTV systems.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check.
  • Experience managing CCTV arrays and access/alarm systems.
  • Willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Criminal background check and drug screen required.
  • College degree in a related field.
  • Law enforcement background preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and oversee all security operations of the lodge.
  • Train and lead Security team members.
  • Conduct investigations into incidents and maintain confidentiality.
  • Maintain OSHA and fire/life safety plans.
  • Control lodge access per policy, including after-hours monitoring.
  • Develop emergency response plans with external agencies.
  • Ensure guestrooms and valuables security per policy.
  • Coordinate incident reporting and investigations; liaise with EMS.
  • Issue radios and keys; manage records and safekeeping.
  • Oversee Loss Prevention program and Safety Committee leadership.

Overview

Join to apply for the Security Manager role at Paradox. The Security Manager organizes and oversees all security operations of our lodge. Security attendants will be under your leadership while you develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain security standards. The goal is to create and preserve an environment where employees, visitors and property are safe and well protected.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for personnel actions within the Security team including: hiring, orientation, training, coaching, feedback, discipline, and scheduling of employees
  • Oversees Security Awareness training and assists with Safety related training
  • Maintains knowledge of state Security laws, Fire codes and Penal Codes
  • Assists in organizing, reviewing, updating and maintaining OSHA, emergency preparedness, and fire & life safety plans
  • Ensures access to the lodge is controlled according to security policy including after hours access and monitoring; confronting any suspicious persons
  • Develops emergency response plans with assistance of outside agencies and ensures staff is trained on protocol
  • Ensures guestroom doors are secured and assists with authorized room access
  • Assists in moving/removing guest room possessions, inventory and security of such and key rooms following resort policy and procedures
  • Complies with guest requests for storing and safekeeping of their valuables and follows procedures
  • Responds to the scene of guest/employee incidents promptly; assists Aquatics in accordance to guidelines and complies with all departmental procedures; communicates specified information to EMS/medical personnel as required
  • Coordinates with Security staff to report to, take charge of, and resolve guest or employee incidents to include but are not limited to: fighting, intoxicated guests, vehicle towing and accidents, theft, and other safety or security emergencies
  • Conducts investigations into theft or lost items, noise complaints, assault complaints, and other guest complaints and documents reports in accordance with departmental procedures while maintaining confidentiality
  • Issues radios, keys to designated hotel personnel, maintaining accurate records and ensures the safekeeping of such in accordance to resort procedures
  • Responsible for Loss Prevention Program
  • Assists the coordination and leadership of the Safety Committee
Basic Qualifications & Skills
  • High School education or equivalent
  • 5+ years in a position dealing with general public
  • Ability to obtain necessary licenses including, but not limited to; State security license, CPR and First Aid certification, alcohol awareness training
  • Ability to read and interpret English-language documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Experience managing extensive closed circuit television arrays; comfortable operating and monitoring activities on-premises using CCTV systems, access control systems, and alarm systems
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and Holidays depending on business demands
  • Successful completions of a criminal background check and drug screen

$0 per year to $0 per year annual base salary

An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of Great Wolf’s total compensation package. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and other perks.
