Job summary

Six Flags Entertainment Corporation seeks a Security Manager to oversee the Security and Investigations department within the Public Safety Division at the Santa Clarita park. You will supervise personnel, coordinate risk assessments, respond to incidents and maintain CCTV/access control systems to protect guests and assets.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of security principles, threat screening, risk and crowd management.
• Strong leadership, communication, de-escalation and problem-solving skills.
• Maintain high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
• Must have current BSIS Guard Card or obtain within 45 days of employment.
• Must have DOJ and FBI background to obtain BSIS certification.
• Must have 3+ years of supervisory experience in a theme park or security setting.
• Must respond to emergencies and incidents.
• Must stand/walk/patrol for extended periods.
• Must have open availability including nights, weekends and holidays.

• Generate accurate reports and ensure compliance of required reporting and policies.
• Monitor and manage security systems such as CCTV, access control and alarms.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Work cohesively with divisions within Public Safety and other departments.
• Provide elite customer service to guests, contractors and team members.
• Serve as Division Duty Manager and Park Duty Manager as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned to support the Park.

Overview

They are responsible for managing the Security and Investigations department within the Public Safety Division and reports to the Public Safety Director.

Responsibilities

• Manage personnel including hiring, training, scheduling and performance evaluations.

Qualifications

• Must have a current BSIS Certified Guard Card or obtain credentials within 45 days of employment.
• Must have a current DOJ and FBI background in order to obtain and maintain BSIS certification.
• Must have 3+ years of supervisory experience in a theme park setting or other security detail
• Must be able to respond, adapt, and participate in emergency situations and incidents
• Must be able to stand, walk, observe and patrol for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to work in direct sunlight, outdoors, in the heat and other environmental elements.
• Must have open availability to support park operation needs, including nights, weekends and holidays.
