Job summary

Dakota Economic Development Corporation (DEDC) is seeking a Security Officer/Maintenance to safeguard premises, personnel, and assets. The role emphasizes vigilance, integrity, and professional conduct while interacting with employees, visitors, and contractors.

You will patrol, monitor CCTV, control access, respond to alarms, assist during emergencies, and help with event setup. The position requires a high school diploma and security experience; flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; security training is a plus.
• Experience: Security Officer or similar role in corporate environment preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical fitness to stand and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Patrol premises, monitor surveillance, and ensure equipment functions.
• Regulate building access; verify IDs and authorize entry.
• Respond to alarms; assist with first aid and evacuations.
• Document incidents and inspections with detailed reports.
• Assist in emergency management and coordinate with authorities.
• Support safety inspections and maintenance of the facility.
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance and security transport checks.
• Help set up and break down company events.
