Job summary

Meijer in Grand Rapids is seeking an Asset Protection team member to help prevent theft, ensure safety, and support store operations. You will inspect facilities, monitor surveillance, and report incidents to leadership.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in security or at least 1 year of work experience.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects building exterior/parking lot to mitigate hazards.
• Conducts walking inspections of backroom and sales floor.
• Reviews cashier exception reports.
• Conducts internal theft surveillance.
• Reviews theft activity reports and follows up.
• Conducts shoplifting surveillance.
• Reports safety hazards to Store Leadership for action.
• Tests and inspects camera equipment for proper operation.
• Monitors alarm system printer for suspicious activity.
• Assists in apprehensions of law violators and supports prosecutions.
• Maintains thorough documentation and incident reports for litigation.
• Testifies in criminal or civil court proceedings.
• Adheres to safety practices and policies.
• Performs other duties as required.
