Job summary

JBS Foods in Texas is seeking a Security Guard Lead to cover for the Security Supervisor when absent. The role includes monitoring plant activity, conducting hourly rounds, and overseeing entry points, vehicle and foot traffic.

You will answer after-hours switchboard, inspect trailers, receive shipments, and ensure adherence to company policies. The position requires basic English, good computer skills, and the ability to work any shift in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write and speak in English, bilingual a plus.
• Strong computer skills preferred.
• Ability to walk more than one mile, on varying terrain, in all weather and up/downstairs.
• Ability to perform assigned tasks without direct supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.
• Attention to detail.
• Professional attitude always.
• Ability to work any shift
• Security experience a plus.
• Minimum High School diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Will cover for the Security Supervisor in their absence.
• Monitors plant activity.
• Hourly rounds (checking trailer temps, room temps, and gates).
• Monitor all associates entering and exiting buildings including car traffic.
• Answering switchboard after hours.
• Billing loads.
• Follow and implement company policies.
• Operate company owned vehicles if needed.
• Inspect trailers for cleanliness and operability as they are entering the facility.
• Receive shipments of supplies and raw materials.
• Fill in the Security Department as where needed.
