TEKsystems in Memphis, TN seeks a hands-on Security Technician to install and service Access Control, CCTV, and Burglar Alarm systems for client sites. You will handle service calls, diagnose issues, and implement effective solutions while maintaining strong communication with customers.

The role emphasizes field installation, testing, and documentation to ensure systems are fully operational and customer satisfaction is achieved. On-site work, contract-to-hire, with benefits available.

• Perform tasks related to low voltage communications.
• Service and preventive maintenance on a variety of low voltage systems.

Responsibilities

• System Installation: Install and configure Access Control, CCTV, and Burg systems at client sites, per standards and requirements.
• Service Call Management: Independently manage lifecycle of a service call in Memphis area.
• Problem Diagnosis: Troubleshoot security systems to identify root causes quickly.
• Solution Implementation: Repair, replace, or reconfigure components as needed.
• Hands-On Repair: Perform technical fixes and testing to restore functionality.
• Service Closure: Document, verify, and sign off on all work.

Description

The candidate will join a skilled team of technicians responsible for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of Access Control systems, CCTV (Closed-Circuit Television), and Burglar Alarm systems. This role is hands‑on and customer-facing, requiring both technical expertise and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• System Installation: Work collaboratively with the technician team to install and configure Access Control, CCTV, and Burg systems at client sites, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
• Service Call Management: Respond to service requests from the client’s primary account in the Memphis area. The candidate must be able to independently manage the entire lifecycle of a service call.
• Problem Diagnosis: Assess and troubleshoot issues with security systems, identifying root causes quickly and accurately.
• Solution Implementation: Develop and apply effective solutions, whether through repair, replacement, or reconfiguration of system components.
• Hands-On Repair: Perform technical fixes, adjustments, and system testing to restore full functionality.
• Service Closure: Ensure all work is documented, verified, and signed off by the customer, leaving systems fully operational and clients satisfied.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
