Job summary

Cennox in Dallas, TX is seeking an Electronic Security Installer to perform installs of intrusion, fire, CCTV and access control systems. This full‑time field service role offers a flexible schedule, paid training, a company vehicle and travel opportunities.

You will read blueprints and schematics, follow wiring diagrams, test operations, and coordinate with customers. A valid driver's license and ability to lift 50 pounds are required; pre‑employment drug testing applies.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools; ability to operate a fleet vehicle safely.
• Knowledge of surveillance and security systems; basic electronics, wiring, codes.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Maintain vehicle and liability insurance as required by policy.
• Subject to drug and alcohol testing per policy.

Responsibilities

• Service and install intrusion, fire, CCTV, and access control systems.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and inspect, adjust, clean, and calibrate equipment.
• Install devices, dismantle and reconstruct equipment per work orders.
• Work safely to prevent injuries and control debris.
• Contact customers before installation to verify schedule.
• Prepare estimates per supervisor instructions.
• Follow wiring diagrams and hookup procedures.
• Test system operation at the signal receiving center.
• Read blueprints as required.
• Coordinate installations with contacts and maintain records.
• May work with others on large commercial projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
