Job summary

CBX Solutions, a leading provider of architectural doors, frames, hardware, and security integration services in Austin, TX, is seeking a Lead Technician to oversee installation and configuration of access control, CCTV, NVRs, and related equipment on both new construction and retrofit projects.

The role requires certifications in VMS and access control systems, plus hands-on experience with IP cameras and field installations.

Qualifications

• Two certifications in VMS systems
• Two access control system certifications
• Minimum one year of basic configuration of physical security systems
• Training for at least one camera manufacturer with certificate
• OSHA-10 certificate
• Field Technician (or equivalent) for at least two years

Responsibilities

• Onsite tasking of resources to meet project milestones established by the Project Manager
• Install access control devices and electrified door hardware
• Install and connect access control panels, power supplies and control equipment
• Install and program CCTV; analog and IP cameras
• Install and program NVRs and VMS platforms
• Install cable and pathway systems to support security systems
• Lead a field technician team
• Maintain installation deadlines
• Be accountable for daily time entries of all crew members
• Maintain a high level of quality control
• Ensure safety on the job site
• Perform end-user training
• Participate in project commissioning and testing
• Assist in enforcing standards related to final documentation
• Attend trades meetings at construction sites as needed
